As I sat down to rest after assembling my booth, I bit into a vegetarian tofu sub from Lee’s Vietnamese Sandwiches. “This is going to be the best part of my day,” I spoke with a giggle. “Tofu can not possibly have this much flavor, this is so spicy and yummy.” Knowing what was to come, I sat there like an ass and waited.

Vending is a gamble. This weekend I lost. As you can see, I am no longer at the Bread & Water Theatre’s Music and Art Fair. Foolishly Chris and I set up outside. Although we were encouraged to present ourselves to passerby’s, I should have known to display my items inside the safety of the Presbyterian church. Breaking down the waterlogged booth was a bad comedy show. Spectators viewing us across the street from their balconies must have been shaking their heads.

The expressways are blocked off and the streets in the city are badly flooded. Finally home, safe, and ready to wipe the slate clean. You bet I will set up to vend again!
