Let me say I can relate, but let me also share another perspective. Hallmark holidays mean nothing to me and my husband. But my husband and I had an agreement early on in our relationship. 1. We wouldn’t fight about money and 2.We would never expect the other person to read our minds.
In the Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus theory. You told him you DON’T WANT ANYTHING maybe just something handmade from Lucas. He heard YOU DON’T WANT ANYTHING but if you feel like you have to do something to keep up with society make something with Lucas. Since you didn’t want anything to begin with he opted for you don’t want anything. If you want something tell him. I have learned to tell my family what I want when they ask me. My response to my girls is often that I want a day of peace and quiet. I often say the same to my husband. Result – I get a day of peace and quiet. I might also get some handmade cards or a bouquet of flowers picked from my MILs garden, but ultimately I get what I asked for.

Oh Francesca, I’m so sorry that you did not do as well as you hoped. Last week I thought for sure that you would be going home happy on the weekend. It really breaks my heart too because I just don’t get it. You are a very talented artist with an awesome and unique product line. It’s a real mystery to me.

HI! I hope you did really well at the Lilac festival. (if you don’t remember me I sat next to you at the church craft fair a few in March). I SO wanted to stop by but my daughter was getting over a fever and was soooo tired!

So sorry you are getting run down..it is hard to find time to do it all. Please don’t pressure yourself to try to!

If you need to get out somewhere different and have some fun (maybe have our two babes have a playdate even!) don’t hesitate to send me an email.
